Thanks guys! 'Rocket Cycles' now officially has two groupies!!! Maybe I should start thinking of getting a news letter together??? Mailing list? Hrmmm that would be two stamps... cutting into my silver money!
This one is to be a threaded fork because I want some flexiblility with hight adjust. Lots wrong with this one however there is much right with it too! I think by proxy, the steerer is thicker to allow for internal wedge clamping. This was a difficult fork to assemble! upshot is that it is true! and stout indeed! Few little bits and bobs to yake care of.. like cable stops and brake bridge which I cut out today. Then chase, face and ream... then a proper paint job! Feel good about this attempt. No doubt that it is sturdy just curious about the fit. I have spent two framesets worth of time on this... learned much.
